Jillian Sommer, RYT500, E-RYT200,YACEP Certified Yoga Teacher

moved to Mansfield in 2011 and I fell in love with this town. I am excited and proud to share yoga with the community that I call home. I started Water's Edge Yoga in 2018 with the mission to make yoga accessible to all and making the practice of yoga part of everyone's life. After practicing yoga myself for many years, I discovered that sharing that practice was what I really wanted to do. This practice has helped me become a more grounded and compassionate human being and has helped me be a better parent, wife, friend and person. I am certified to teach children, teen, adult and pre and postnatal yoga. When I am not teaching yoga I enjoy spending time with my family roller blading, watching movies and enjoying the outside.

Amy Orsini, RYT200, Certified Yoga & Meditation Teacher
I am a mom of 3 grown children. I have been practicing yoga for over 7 years. I found that it made me feel so good inside and out. My body and my spirit were ignited. I wanted to dig deeper into the teachings of the yoga philosophy and that is why I decided to take a year-long opportunity to join yoga teacher training at Universal Power Yoga. At the conclusion I decided to dig deeper and so I took a teacher training in meditation.i found my passion and truly enjoy sharing these gifts. I want to help people realize their true potential and feel their best. I love teaching beginners and welcoming them into the yoga and meditation practices. All of my classes are all levels so I offer a variety of modifications and variations. When I am not practicing yoga , I enjoy hiking with my beagle and skiing with my husband and kids.

We all come together on our yoga mat for different reasons. Some to take a break from stress, others to connect with a community of like-minded people and many to simply stretch and grow stronger. The beauty of our yoga practice is it changes each day and evolves over time as we need it to. When I joined a studio 7 years ago, it was to become leaner and more flexible. I was amazed at the transformation in me both on and off the mat. Through breath and movement, yoga helps us to find strength, awareness and often a more calm and balanced life. It has been life changing for me. My hope is to give you the

opportunity to explore what you need in a challenging, but safe and inclusive yoga class. All levels are welcome. Come join me on your mat!

Suzanne Adams, RYT500, Certified Yoga Teacher

My journey into yoga began many years ago with the desire for a new physical workout. I dabbled in yoga then but life brought me in other directions. I found myself returning to the mat in November of 2017. In reflection, this was a time I very much needed to cultivate inner peace. I was quickly drawn in and created a regular practice for myself. Not only does yoga develop the body, increasing flexibility, strength and balance but it develops the mind. Returning to the mat again and again has allowed me the space and opportunity for self-growth, healing and to create connections.

Come get settled on your mat, find some grounding through breath and movement, quiet the mind and learn physical and mental strength.  My wish for you is that you have your own wonderful journey. I look forward to seeing you at Water’s Edge.

Ellen Cosgrove Cuneo, RYT200, YACEP Certified Yoga Teacher

I am a certified yoga teacher, RYT , a member of Yoga Alliance.  I am certified in hatha, vinyasa flow, yin/yang gentle, restorative and children’s yoga. I am also certified in Meridian yoga and Yoga for addiction & recovery. I find that a practice combining the benefits of different types of yoga and holistic healing modalities awakens the innate healing process of the whole, body, mind and soul.  I have always had a passion for finding ways to heal holistically!

I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, 10 of those years were on my own exploring different yoga teachings and getting certifications.  Yoga has transformed my life and helped me physically, mentally and emotionally with the growing challenges of life. Yoga and meditation are the healing powers in my life. I love being able to share, encourage and guide those who seek to practice yoga and its many benefits to living a deeper awareness and love of self so that we can better serve others.  Yoga and meditation will help you breathe better; feel fitter and stronger, and be peaceful and calm. I am exuberantly grateful for that in my life.

Enjo*yoga etc…breathe and find abundance…Namaste’

Carly Blais, CYT200 Certified Yoga Teacher

I came to yoga almost ten years ago seeking a way better manage stress. Even now, there are still days when I arrive to my mat in the evening and realize I am taking my first deep breaths of the day. Those moments help me pass on the message that although I am the teacher when you attend my class, I am with you sharing this powerful practice that brings us all back to the present moment. I guide you through the movements and choices you can make for your own body, and I know how empowering it can be.

Lauren Berghman, RYT200 Certified Yoga Teacher

I enjoy the physical and mental aspects of many types of yoga from power vinyasa to restorative. Discovering the peace I found in breath to movement through the practice kept bringing me back to my mat, and I completed teacher training at Open Doors. Over time I found myself drawn to slow flow, spa, yin, restorative yoga feeling much more grounded, calm, and centered after. Especially after a long day of working, commuting, and anything else in life that comes along. Our bodies can respond differently each day, and I offer variations when possible including with props. In my spare time I also have interest in learning about yoga therapy.

Kristin Bourdony, CYT200 Certified Yoga Teacher
Kristin discovered yoga over 15 years ago while working in a corporate setting in Boston. She began taking lunchtime classes and before long, was practicing regularly and sneaking out of work early to catch her favorite instructors. It was at that point she felt how important yoga was, and the seeds were planted to teach it to others. After years of dreaming of becoming a yoga instructor, she listened to her soul and completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Universal Power Yoga. This transformational experience lead her further to complete Meditation Teacher Training (MTT) at Soulspace Meditation. Forever a student of the practice, she is deeply grateful for the wisdom and loving kindness of her teachers. Kristin’s approach to yoga is to help others live more connected to themselves and the world. Her classes focus on vinyasa flow and connecting breath to movement to inspire you to live more awake and alive. When she not on the mat, you may find her hiking in the mountains, catching a sunrise or sunset, or at the beach with her family. She looks forward to helping you tap into your true self and embody presence. See you on the mat or cushion!
